DESCRIPTION:
Two vulnerabilities have been reported in MediaWiki, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and
cross-site request forgery attacks.
1) Certain escaped CSS input is not properly sanitised before being
returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML
and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected
site.
Successful exploitation requires use of Internet Explorer.
2) The application allows users to perform certain actions via HTTP
requests without performing any validity checks to verify the
requests. This can be exploited to e.g. create an arbitrary user if a
logged-in administrative user visits a malicious web site.
NOTE: This vulnerability exists in the "E-mail me my password",
"Create account", and "Create by e-mail" forms.
The vulnerabilities are reported in versions prior to 1.15.4.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 1.15.4.
PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
