DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in the AddonChat module for
Drupal, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct script
insertion attacks and by malicious people to bypass certain security
restrictions.
1) An error exists in the handling of the "user" object in
addonchat_auth.php after a failed authentication, which can be
exploited to log in as an arbitrary user.
2) Certain input passed via the configuration variables is not
properly sanitised before being displayed to the user. This can be
exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be
executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site
when the malicious data is being viewed.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires "access
administration pages" permissions.
The vulnerabilities are reported in versions prior to 6.x-1.2.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 6.x-1.2.
