TITLE:
iScripts SocialWare Script Insertion and Cross-Site Scripting
Vulnerabilities

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA39653

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/39653/

DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in iScripts SocialWare, which
can be exploited by malicious users to conduct script insertion
attacks and by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting
attacks.

1) Input passed via the "txtWidgets" parameter to
includes/profile_save_widgets.php is not properly sanitised before
being displayed to the user. This can be exploited to insert
arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious
data is being viewed.

2) Input passed via the "search" parameter to album.php is not
properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be
exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site.

The vulnerabilities are reported in version 2.2. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
