DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Palm Pre WebOS, which can be
exploited by malicious people to manipulate certain data.
The vulnerability is caused due to an input sanitation error in the
SMS client. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and
script code when a received SMS message is viewed and e.g.
potentially trick the user into installing a malicious root SSL
certificate.
NOTE: An error related to the lack of HTTPS use in the developer
portal was also reported.
The vulnerability is reported in version 1.3.5. Other versions prior
to 1.4.0 may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 1.4.0 or later.
