Intel Active Management Technology SDK Redirection Buffer Overflow

DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Intel Active Management
Technology SDK, which can be exploited by malicious people to
compromise an application using the development kit.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the included
redirection libraries. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based
buffer overflow during the establishment of a redirection session.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

NOTE: The vulnerability does not affect Intel vPro platforms.

The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 6.0.

SOLUTION:
Upgrade to version 6.0.

Replace distributed affected libraries with fixed versions included
in SDK version 6.0. Please see the vendor's advisory for additional
details.
