DESCRIPTION:
A security issue has been discovered in XMail, which can be exploited
by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.
The security issue is caused due to the application generating
temporary files in an insecure manner. This can be exploited to
overwrite arbitrary files with arbitrary data via symlink attacks and
e.g. SMTP sessions.
The security issue is confirmed in version 1.26. Prior versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 1.27.
