TITLE:
Article Friendly Multiple Vulnerabilities
SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA38676
VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/38676/
DESCRIPTION:
Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Article Friendly,
which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection
and cross-site request forgery attacks.
1) Input passed via the "password" parameter to admin/index.php (when
"filename" is set to "adminlogin") is not properly sanitised before
being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL
queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation allows bypassing the authentication mechanism
but requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.
2) The application allows users to perform certain actions via HTTP
requests without performing any validity checks to verify the
requests. This can be exploited to e.g. create an arbitrary user with
administrative privileges if a logged-in administrative user visits a
malicious web site.
SOLUTION:
Reportedly a patch has been released. Please contact the vendor for
further information.
