TITLE:
SilverStripe Multiple Vulnerabilities

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA38697

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/38697/

DESCRIPTION:
A weakness, a security issue, and some vulnerabilities have been
reported in SilverStripe, which can be exploited by malicious people
to conduct cross-site scripting attacks and disclose potentially
sensitive information.

1) Input passed to the "user" parameter in
jsparty/jquery/plugins/validate/demo/form.php is not properly
sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to
execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in
context of an affected site.

2) Certain unspecified input related to DataObjectSet pagination is
not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be
exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site.

3) An error exists in the sapphire/main.php script, which can be
exploited to view the debug log via the "debug_profile" and
"profile_trace" parameters.

4) An error in the sapphire/core/control/Director.php script displays
the output of the memory_get_peak_usage() function in an insecure
manner. This can be exploited to view the memory usage of the PHP
script.

The weakness, the security issue, and the vulnerabilities are
reported in versions prior to 2.3.6.

SOLUTION:
Update to version 2.3.6.

PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
