DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Juniper Networks Installer
Service, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a
vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in dsInstallerService.dll
when handling "DSSETUPSERVICE_CMD_UNINSTALL" commands. This can be
exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via a specially
crafted command sent to the
"\\Device\\LanmanRedirector\\%SERVERNAME%\\pipe\\NeoterisSetupService"
named pipe.
The vulnerability is reported in dsInstallerService.dll included in
Juniper Networks Odyssey Access Client version 4.72.11421.0. Other
versions may also be affected.
