TITLE:
Joomla JBDiary Component Multiple SQL Injection Vulnerabilities
SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA38282
VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/38282/
DESCRIPTION:
Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in the JBDiary component
for Joomla, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL
injection attacks.
Input passed via the "newyear" or "newmonth" parameter to index.php
(when "option" is set to "com_jbdiary") is not properly sanitised
before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate
SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
The vulnerabilities are reported in version 1.6. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
