TITLE:
Kayako SupportSuite Script Insertion Vulnerabilities

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA38322

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/38322/

DESCRIPTION:
Comodo Group has reported some vulnerabilities in Kayako
SupportSuite, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct
script insertion attacks.

Input passed via the "subject" and "contents" parameters to
staff/index.php (when "_m" is set to "knowledgebase" and "_a" is set
to "insertquestion") is not properly sanitised before being displayed
to the user. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script
code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of
an affected site when the malicious data is being viewed.

The vulnerabilities are reported in version 3.60.04. Other versions
may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
