SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:

http://secunia.com/advisories/38170/
DESCRIPTION:
Hernan Jais has discovered a weakness and a vulnerability in
Redatam+SP WebServer, which can be exploited by malicious people to
conduct cross-site scripting attacks and disclose system
information.
1) Input passed via the "BASE" parameter to the
cgibin/RpWebEngine.exe/PortalAction script is not properly sanitised
before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute
arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context
of an affected site.
2) The weakness is caused due to the application displaying the full
installation path in an error report, when supplying an invalid
"BASE" parameter to the cgibin/RpWebEngine.exe/PortalAction script.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version V5Rev01. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Filter malicious characters and character sequences using a proxy.
