DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in GNU gzip, which can be exploited
by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and potentially
compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an input sanitation error within
the "huft_build()" function in inflate.c, which can be exploited to
cause an infinite loop and potentially execute arbitrary code by
tricking a user into decompressing a specially crafted archive.
This may be related to vulnerability #4 in:

SOLUTION:
Update to version 1.3.13 or later.
