Novell iPrint Client Date/Time Parsing Buffer Overflow

DESCRIPTION:
Secunia Research has discovered a vulnerability in Novell iPrint
Client, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a
user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when processing
certain time information and can be exploited to cause a stack-based
buffer overflow by passing a specially crafted string to certain
parameters or methods.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code when a
user e.g. views a malicious web page.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 4.38. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
No fix is available for the 4.x branch, but users can upgrade to
version 5.32.
