DESCRIPTION:
A security issue has been reported in libtool, which can be exploited
by malicious, local users to potentially gain escalated privileges.
The security issue is caused due to the current working directory
potentially being used as search path for libraries. This can be
exploited to execute arbitrary code by e.g. creating a malicious
shared object or a malicious .la file and tricking a user into
executing an application using the libtool library in the same
directory.
The security issue is reported in versions prior to 2.2.6b.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 2.2.6b.
