TITLE:

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA36860
VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/36860/
DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in the FireFTP extension for
Firefox, which can be exploited by malicious people to manipulate
certain data.
The vulnerability is caused due to FireFTP not properly escaping
certain filenames before passing them to psftp.exe. This can be
exploited to e.g. trick a user into downloading files into the
Firefox installation directory or performing unwanted SFTP operations
via specially named files on the SFTP server.
Successful exploitation requires that the attacker can trick the
victim into moving, deleting, mode changing, or downloading
specially named files from an SFTP server.
The vulnerability is reported in version 1.0.5. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 1.0.6.
