DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in NetBSD, which can be exploited
by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.
The vulnerability is caused due to the kernel incorrectly handling
pre-commit failures within the IRET instruction, which can be
exploited to e.g. gain escalated privileges.
Successful exploitation requires x86 systems.
SOLUTION:
Restrict access to trusted users only.
