TITLE:
PHP AdminPanel "dir" Directory Traversal Vulnerability

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA35790

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/35790/

DESCRIPTION:
Sina Yazdanmehr has discovered a vulnerability in PHP AdminPanel,
which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose sensitive
information.

Input passed to the "dir" parameter in
modules/datagrid/scripts/download.php is not properly verified before
being used to read files. This can be exploited to download arbitrary
files from an affected system via directory traversal attacks and
URL-encoded NULL-bytes.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.0.5. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly verified.
