TITLE:
Fretsweb File Inclusion and SQL Injection Vulnerabilities

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA35492

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/35492/

DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Fretsweb, which can be
exploited by malicious people to disclose potentially sensitive
information or conduct SQL injection attacks.

1) Input passed via the "language" parameter or via the
"fretsweb_language" cookie through admin/common.php to various pages
(e.g. charts.php, players.php, songs.php) is not properly verified
before being used to include files. This can be exploited to include
arbitrary files from local resources via directory traversal
attacks.

2) Input passed to the "name" parameter in player.php and to the
"hash" parameter in song.php is not properly sanitised before being
used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries
by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.2. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Reportedly fixed in version 1.3.
