TITLE:
RoomPHPlanning Multiple Vulnerabilities

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA35237

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/35237/

DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in RoomPHPlanning, which
can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security
restrictions and conduct SQL injection attacks.

1) Input passed to the "loginus" parameter in login.php is not
properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation allows logging in as administrator without
valid credentials, but requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

2) Improper access restrictions are present when accessing
administrative scripts. This can be exploited to bypass the
authentication mechanism and gain access to administrative functions
by setting the "room_phplanning" cookie.

3) Input passed to the "id" parameter in admin/userform.php is not
properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

4) Access to the admin/delitem.php script is not restricted to
logged-in users. This can be exploited to delete arbitrary rooms or
users by directly accessing the script.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.6. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised and
that proper access restrictions are implemented.

Restrict access to the "admin/" directory (e.g. via .htaccess).
