TITLE:
Foswiki Cross-Site Request Forgery Vulnerabilities

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA34863

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/34863/

DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Foswiki, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site request forgery
attacks.

The vulnerabilities are caused due to the application allowing users
to perform certain actions via HTTP requests without performing any
validity checks to verify the requests. This can be exploited to e.g.
modify page permissions, modify user configuration values, or edit
topics by tricking a logged in user into visiting a malicious web
page.

This is related to:
SA34880

SOLUTION:
Version 1.0.5 forbids HTTP GET requests, but exploitation is still
possible via HTTP POST requests.

Do not browse untrusted websites while being logged in to Foswiki.

PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
The vendor credits Steve 'Ashcrow' Milner and Richard Monk of Red
