iodine "handle_null_request()" Denial of Service Vulnerability

DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been discovered in iodine, which can be exploited
by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error within
"handle_null_request()" in src/iodine.c when trying to send a
"VERSION_NACK" response. This can be exploited to cause a NULL
pointer dereference and crash the service by sending an unsupported
version number.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 0.4.2. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Update to version 0.5.0.
