IBM Lotus Domino IMAP Server Denial of Service Vulnerability

DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in IBM Lotus Domino, which can be
exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the IMAP server when
processing RFC822 attachments. This can be exploited to cause a crash
via a specially crafted email message containing RFC822 attachments
with improperly constructed root entities.

The vulnerability is reported in version 8.5 and 8.0.2.1. Other
versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Apply interim fixes.

Lotus Domino 8.5:
Apply Interim Fix 3.

Lotus Domino 8.0.2.1:
Apply Interim Fix 1.
