SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:

VERIFY ADVISORY:

CRITICAL:
Moderately critical

IMPACT:

SOFTWARE:
Calendarix Advanced 1.x
http://secunia.com/advisories/product/5192/

DESCRIPTION:
Jaykishan Nirmal has reported two vulnerabilities in Calendarix
Advanced, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL
injection attacks.

Input passed to the "login" parameter in cal_login.php and
admin/cal_login.php is not properly sanitised before being used in
SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by
injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation allows bypassing the authentication
mechanism, but requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.8.20081228. Other
versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
The vendor has released an updated version 1.8.20081228 on
2009-02-12.
