DESCRIPTION:
OffensiveTrack has discovered a vulnerability and a security issue in
Nightfall Personal Diary, which can be exploited by malicious people
to conduct cross-site scripting attacks and disclose sensitive
information.

1) Input passed to the "username" parameter in login.asp is not
properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be
exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in the context of an affected site.

2) The security issue is caused due to database files being stored
with insecure permissions inside the web root. This can be exploited
to potentially gain access to sensitive information by downloading
the database file.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
Move the database file out of the web root.
