DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Samba, which potentially can be
exploited by malicious people to disclose sensitive information.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when processing
"trans", "trans2", and "nttrans" requests. This can potentially be
exploited to disclose normally restricted "smbd" process memory via
specially crafted requests.
The vulnerability is reported in versions 3.0.29 through 3.2.4.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 3.2.5 or 3.0.33, or apply patches.
