DESCRIPTION:
StAkeR has reported some vulnerabilities in Mic_Blog (mic blog),
which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection
attacks.

1) Input passed to the "cat" parameter in category.php and "user" in
login.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries.
This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary
SQL code.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability allows e.g. retrieval
of administrator usernames and password hashes, but requires
knowledge of the database table prefix and that "magic_quotes_gpc" is
disabled.

2) Input passed to the "site" parameter in register.php is not
properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability allows e.g. creating
new administrator users, but requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is
disabled.

The vulnerabilities are reported in version 0.0.3. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
