DESCRIPTION:
Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Novell eDirectory,
where some have an unknown impact and others can be exploited by
malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks or to
potentially compromise a vulnerable system.

1) An unspecified error can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer
overflow. No further information is currently available.

2) An unspecified error can be exploited to cause a memory
corruption. No further information is currently available.

3) An error in the HTTP Protocol Stack can be exploited to cause a
heap-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted "Language" header.

4) An error in the HTTP Protocol Stack can be exploited to cause a
heap-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted "Content-Length"
header.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerabilities may allow execution of
arbitrary code.

5) Input passed via unspecified parameters to the HTTP Protocol Stack
is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can
be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site.

The vulnerabilities are reported in version 8.8. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
