TITLE:
EasyE-Cards SQL Injection and Cross-Site Scripting

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/31192/

CRITICAL:
Moderately critical

IMPACT:
Cross Site Scripting, Manipulation of data

WHERE:
>From remote

SOFTWARE:
EasyE-Cards 3.x
http://secunia.com/product/19353/

DESCRIPTION:
Khashayar Fereidani has discovered some vulnerabilities in
EasyE-Cards, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct
cross-site scripting and SQL injection attacks.

1) Input passed to the "ResultHtml", "dir", "SenderName",
"RecipientName", "SenderMail", and "RecipientMail" parameters in
staticpages/easyecards/index.php is not properly sanitised before
being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute
arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context
of an affected site.

2) Input passed to the "sid" parameter in
staticpages/easyecards/index.php is not properly sanitised before
being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL
queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires that
"magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 3.5 trial edition and
reported in version 3.10a. Other versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
