DESCRIPTION:
Saime has discovered a vulnerability in Maian Events, which can be
exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security
restrictions.

The vulnerability is caused due to improper access restriction in the
admin/index.php script. This can be exploited to bypass the
authentication mechanism and gain access to the administration
section by setting the "mevents_admin_cookie" cookie.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 2.0. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Restrict access to the admin/index.php script (e.g. with
".htaccess").
