TITLE:

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA29399

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/29399/

CRITICAL:
Moderately critical

IMPACT:
Security Bypass, Cross Site Scripting, Manipulation of data

WHERE:
>From remote

SOFTWARE:
Gallarific 1.x
http://secunia.com/product/17999/

DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Gallarific, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks,
bypass certain security restrictions, and conduct SQL injection
attacks.

1) Input passed to the "query" parameter in search.php is not
properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries or returned to a
user. This can be exploited to modify SQL queries by injecting
arbitrary SQL code or execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a
user's browser session in context of an affected site.

2) Input passed to the "gusername" and "gpassword" parameters in
login.php and to the "username" and "password" parameter in
gadmin/index.php (if "task" is set to "signin") is not properly
sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to
manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

3) Various scripts (e.g. gadmin/users.php, gadmin/photos.php,
gadmin/comments.php, and gadmin/gallery.php) do not perform proper
authentication checks. This can be exploited to bypass the login
mechanism and e.g. edit comments, users, and galleries.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in Gallarific Free Edition 1.1.
Other versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Use another product.
