DESCRIPTION:
Will Dormann has reported some vulnerabilities in SwiftView Viewer,
which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's
system.
The vulnerabilities are caused due to boundary errors in the
SwiftView ActiveX control (svocx.ocx) and plug-in (npsview.dll) and
can be exploited to cause stack-based buffer overflows when a user is
e.g. tricked into visiting a malicious website.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability reportedly affects versions 8.3.4 and prior.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 8.3.5.
