DESCRIPTION:
Alexandr Polyakov and Stas Svistunovich have discovered a
vulnerability in phpCMS, which can be exploited by malicious people
to disclose sensitive information.
Input passed to the "file" parameter in parser/parser.php is not
properly verified before being used. This can be exploited to
disclose the content of files (e.g. include/default.php) within the
phpCMS root folder or it's subdirectories.
Note: Reportedly, it's possible to disclose arbitrary files via
directory traversal attacks on Windows systems.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.22. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly verified.
