SOFTWARE:

DESCRIPTION:
Silentz has reported a vulnerability in Pixelpost, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.
Input passed to the "parent_id" parameter in index.php (when
"showimage" is set to "1" and "popup" to "comment") is not properly
sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to
manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation allows e.g. retrieving the administrator
username and password hash, but requires knowledge of the database
table prefix and that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.
The vulnerability is reported in version 1.7. Prior versions may also
be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 1.7.1.
