DESCRIPTION:
Jesper Jurcenoks has reported a vulnerability in Saxon (Simple
Accessible XHTML Online News), which can be exploited by malicious
people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Input passed to the "config[news_url]" parameter in admin/menu.php is
not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be
exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site.
Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled
and that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.
The vulnerability is reported in version 5.4. Prior versions may also
be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 5.41.
