DESCRIPTION:
Parvez Anwar has discovered a vulnerability in CenterTools DriveLock,
which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable
system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within
DriveLock.exe when processing HTTP requests. This can be exploited to
cause a stack-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted, overly
long (greater than 983 characters) HTTP request to default port
6061/TCP.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 5.0. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to DriveLock version 5.0.0.314 or 4.1.1.277, or DriveLock SRC
Server version 5.0.0.47 (available to registered customers on
vendor's web site).
