DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Asterisk, which can be exploited
by malicious users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to the Skinny channel driver
(chan_skinny) improperly processing packets. This can be exploited to
crash the application by sending a "CAPABILITIES_RES_MESSAGE" packet
with the capabilities count greater than the total number of items in
the "capabilities_res_message" array.

The vulnerability is reported in the following versions:
Asterisk Open Source 1.4.x, versions prior to 1.4.10
AsteriskNOW pre-release, versions prior to beta7
Asterisk Appliance Developer Kit, versions prior to 0.7.0
s800i versions prior to 1.0.3.

SOLUTION:
Asterisk Open Source 1.4.x:
Update to version 1.4.10.
