SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:

VERIFY ADVISORY:

CRITICAL:
Moderately critical

IMPACT:

WHERE:

SOFTWARE:
WSN Links 4.x
http://secunia.com/product/15070/

DESCRIPTION:
t0pP8uZz & xprog have discovered a vulnerability in WSN Links, which
can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection
attacks.

Input passed to the "catid" parameter in index.php (when "action" is
set to "displaycat") is not properly sanitised before being used in
SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by
injecting arbitrary SQL code.

The vulnerability is confirmed in the Preview Edition 4.0.34P. Other
versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
