DESCRIPTION:
Michael Meeks has reported a security issue in GConf, which can be
exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of
Service).
The security issue is caused due to GConf not using a unique name to
create a temporary directory to store certain information. This can
be exploited to stop a user from using GConf by creating the
corresponding directory before the user launches GConf for the first
time.
SOLUTION:
Restrict access to trusted people only.
