TITLE:
ConPresso CMS SQL Injection Vulnerabilities

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA22145

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/22145/

CRITICAL:
Moderately critical

IMPACT:
Cross Site Scripting, Manipulation of data

WHERE:
>From remote

SOFTWARE:
ConPresso CMS 4.x
http://secunia.com/product/12181/

DESCRIPTION:
David Vieira-Kurz has reported some vulnerabilities in ConPresso CMS,
which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site
scripting and SQL injection attacks.

Input passed to the "nr" parameter in _rubric/details.php and
_rubric/index.php and the "pos" parameter in _rubric/index.php is not
properly sanitised before being used in an SQL query. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Since certain parts of the SQL query are returned in an error
message, this can also be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and
script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected
site.

The vulnerabilities have been reported in versions prior to 4.0.5a.

SOLUTION:
Update to version 4.0.5a.
