DESCRIPTION:
Hendrik Weimer has discovered a vulnerability in Usermin, which can
be exploited by malicious users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
Input passed to the "shell" parameter in chfn/save.cgi is not
properly sanitised before being used as a parameter for the "chsh"
command. This can be exploited to change the login shell of the root
account to an invalid value by passing an empty "shell" parameter.
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1.180. Other versions
may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 1.220 or later.
