DESCRIPTION:
Omid has discovered a vulnerability in Mambo, which can be exploited
by malicious users to conduct SQL injection attacks.
Input passed to the "id" parameter when editing content isn't
properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation requires "Editor" privileges.
Some SQL injection issues have also been reported in the
administration section.
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 4.5.4 and has also
been reported in version 4.6 RC2. Other versions may also be
affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
Grant only trusted users "Editor" privileges.
