DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Top Layer Network Security
Analyzer, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a
vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in
NetworkSecurityAnalyzer.exe within the license manager (port
10616/TCP) and can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer
overflow by passing an overly long argument to the
"LICMGR_ADDLICENSE" command.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 4.5.3.
SOLUTION:
The vendor expects to release a fixed version within a couple of
days.
