DESCRIPTION:
r0t has reported a vulnerability in Extreme Search Corporate Edition,
which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site
scripting attacks.
Input passed to the "search" parameter of "extremesearch.php" isn't
properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be
exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 6.0 and prior.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
