DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in PHP, which can be exploited by
malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the "readfile()"
function when accessing files with a size multiple times larger than
the underlying architecture's page size. This can reportedly be
exploited to crash the httpd process running the PHP code.
This has been reported in PHP version 4.
SOLUTION:
Restrict access to PHP code using "readfile()" to open untrusted
files.
