CERT-NL received information from Karel Sprenger, IC/IT, University of
Amsterdam, about how to track the revision level of the DOS version you're
working with.
Please regard this information as an addition to advisory S-92-22 .
The trick is to use a hidden feature of the "ver" command:
ver /r
will show not only the DOS version, but also it's revision level.
This is particularly useful when in doubt about the shipment date of
a peticular DOS 5.0 version: ver /r can tell wether yours is the "safe" (with
regards tot the reported problem) revision level A or higher, or whether it is
not, in which case it is advisable to upgrade your 5.0 version.
