4. Affected Components Description
==================================

SAP HANA is a platform for real-time business. It combines database,
data processing, and application platform capabilities in-memory. The
platform provides libraries for predictive, planning, text processing,
spatial, and business analytics.


5. Vulnerability Details
========================

The SAP HANA Web-based Development Workbench does not sufficiently
encode user controlled inputs, specifically the role name during role
deletion. This could allow remote authenticated attackers to exploit the
XSS vulnerability and execute more complex attacks.


6. Solution
===========

Implement SAP Security Note 2153898.


7. Report Timeline
==================

01/29/2015: Onapsis provides vulnerability information to SAP AG.
02/01/2015: SAP AG confirms reception of vulnerability report.
02/10/2015: SAP reports vulnerability is “In Process”
05/12/2015: SAP releases Security Note 2153898 fixing the issue but not
informing Onapsis the fix was included in that Note.
05/12/2015: Onapsis asks SAP on the status of internal case
corresponding to reported vulnerability ONAPSIS-00159.
05/12/2015: SAP informs reported vulnerability ONAPSIS-00159 was
considered duplicate of ONAPSIS-00162, thus included in the same
Security Note fixing that vulnerability.
09/29/2015: Onapsis publishes security advisory.
