DESCRIPTION:
Two vulnerabilities have been reported in the Search API module for
Drupal, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct script
insertion attacks and by malicious people to conduct cross-site
scripting attacks.
1) Certain unspecified input related to error messages in e.g. the
database backend view is not properly sanitised before being returned
to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and
script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected
site.
2) Certain unspecified input related to field names within the admin
view is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be
exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be
executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site
if malicious data is viewed.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires the malicious
user to have privileges to change the field names of an indexed
entity type.
The vulnerabilities are reported in versions prior to 7.x-1.4.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 7.x-1.4.
