DESCRIPTION:
Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Novell File Reporter,
which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose potentially
sensitive information and compromise a vulnerable system.
1) A boundary error in NFRAgent.exe when handling "SRS" requests can
be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow.
2) An error in NFRAgent.exe when handling "/FSF/CMD" requests for
records with NAME "SRS", OPERATION "4", and CMD "103" can be
exploited to disclose arbitrary files via the "PATH" tag.
3) An error in NFRAgent.exe when handling "/FSF/CMD" requests for
records with NAME "FSFUI" and UICMD "126" can be exploited to
disclose arbitrary files via the "FILE" tag.
4) An error in NFRAgent.exe when handling "/FSF/CMD" requests for
records with NAME "FSFUI" and UICMD "130" can be exploited to upload
arbitrary files via the "FILE" tag.
Successful exploitation vulnerabilities #1 and #4 allows execution of
arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges.
The vulnerabilities are reported in version 1.0.2. Other versions may
also be affected.
