DESCRIPTION:
Two vulnerabilities have been discovered in the WP125 plugin for
WordPress, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct
cross-site scripting attacks.
1) Input passed via the "editad" parameter to wp-admin/admin.php
(when "page" is set to "wp125_addedit") is not properly sanitised in
wp-content/plugins/wp125/adminmenus.php before being returned to the
user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code
in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
2) Input passed via the "theid" parameter to wp-admin/admin.php (when
"page" is set to "wp125/wp125.php" and "wp125action" is set to
"deactivate") is not properly sanitised in
wp-content/plugins/wp125/adminmenus.php before being returned to the
user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code
in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.4.4. Prior versions
may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 1.4.5.
PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
1) Charlie Eriksen via Secunia.
2) Reported by the vendor.
